Shericka Jackson Leads Strong Jamaican Contingent for Brussels Diamond League

A formidable Jamaican delegation, comprising 11 exceptional athletes, including several Budapest World Championships medalists, is set to make a dazzling appearance at the upcoming Allianz Memorial Van Damme Diamond League meeting in Brussels this Friday.

Leading the charge is none other than the reigning 200 meters world champion, Shericka Jackson.

She is all set to take on Anthonique Strachan from the Bahamas and Britain’s Daryll Neita in a highly anticipated showdown in the women’s 200 meters.

In another thrilling event, the World Championships relay silver medalist, Candice Mcleod, will grace the track in the women’s 400 meters.

  

She faces fierce competition from Sada Williams of Barbados and the American sensation, Shamier Little.

Meanwhile, the women’s 400-meter hurdles promises to be a gripping contest as World Champs bronze medalist Rushell Clayton goes head to head with Janieve Russell and Andrennette Knight. This event will also features the immensely talented world record holder and Danish star, Femke Bol.

The women’s 100 meters event is set to captivate the audience as double-Olympic sprint double gold medalist Elaine Thompson Herah prepares to take on the challenge presented by Natasha Morrison and Sashalee Forbes.

On the men’s front, national record holder Rusheen McDonald will showcase his prowess in the men’s 400 meters event.

In the field events, Shanieka Ricketts and Kimberly Williams are set to light up the women’s triple jump event with their incredible talents.
