Jamaica Secures Bronze in Men’s 4x100m Relay as USA Takes Gold at World Athletics Championships

On the penultimate day of the World Athletics Championships hosted in Budapest, Hungary, Jamaica secured the bronze medal in the men’s 4x100m relay final with a swift clocking of 37.76 seconds.

Jamaica maintained an unchanged lineup and running order from the semi-finals, with Ackeem Blake setting the pace on the opening leg, followed by Oblique Seville, Ryiem Forde, and anchored by the national champion, Rohan Watson.

The United States of America clinched the gold medal with a world-leading time of 37.38 seconds.

Notably, the US team boasted three 100m World champions, prominently featuring the reigning champion Noah Lyles.

Lyles achieved a remarkable milestone by collecting three gold medals in these championships, triumphing in the 100m, 200m, and anchoring the victorious relay team—a feat previously accomplished only by Jamaica’s Usain Bolt in 2015.

Italy won the silver medal with a season’s best time of 37.62 seconds.
