Reggae Boyz On Fire: Magee, Foster Score 3 Goals to Lead the Switchbacks to Victory!
Jamaican internationals Tyreek Magee and Maalique Foster recently took center stage in a thrilling away encounter to help the Colorado Springs secure a scintillating 3-2 victory over the Oakland Roots.
Right from the kickoff, it was evident that the Switchbacks meant business.
Speedy Williams, another Jamaican international, orchestrated a flawless pass that found its mark in the feet of Maalique Foster, stationed brilliantly within the 18-yard box.
Foster’s finesse left the goalie helpless as the net rippled in the 5th minute, setting the tone for an electrifying showdown.
However, the game’s narrative underwent a dramatic shift after Oakland Roots managed to level the scoreline in the 25th minute. Guillermo Diaz expertly placed the ball with precision into the corner of the net, igniting a fierce contest.
It was then time for the Jamaican magic to unfold once again.
Tyreek Magee, seizing the moment, netted his first goal of the season in the 40th minute.
The Switchbacks, led by their Jamaican maestros, showcased impeccable teamwork, and continued to create openings.
As halftime approached, the drama heightened. The Oakland Roots were awarded a crucial penalty kick in added time.
Anuar Peláez capitalised on the opportunity, slotting the ball into the left side of the net, leveling the playing field once more at 2-2.
With the scoreline evenly poised, the second half unfurled with an aura of anticipation.
The Jamaican dynamo, Tyreek Magee, hungered for another moment of glory. Tejada’s assist proved invaluable, setting the stage for Magee’s calculated strike in the 58th minute.
Magee’s composure and precision found the back of the net, sending the Switchbacks faithful into raptures.
The Switchbacks will return home on September 2nd, where they’ll lock horns with Louisville City FC.
