“Everyone Knows I’m Jamaican” Says Sprinter Gabby Thomas Who Currently Represents the US

During a recent press conference, Gabby Thomas, the reigning American 200m national champion, proudly acknowledged her Jamaican heritage as the driving force behind her incredible speed.

The sprinter, whose father hails from Jamaica, expressed deep gratitude for the phenomenal support she receives from the Jamaican community.

Thomas recently secured her position as the one to beat with an astonishing world-leading time of 21.60 at the fiercely competitive US trials, claiming victory in the 200m event.

Now, with her sights firmly set on the upcoming World Championships in Budapest, she is determined to carry forward her exceptional form and make her family proud.

  

While speaking with reporters, Thomas emphasised the significance of her Jamaican roots in shaping her athletic journey, declaring, “Everybody knows I am Jamaican. I do believe that’s where I get my fast roots from.”

“I do really love the fanbase in Jamaica. They’re so amazing and supportive. I make sure that everyone knows that I am Jamaican.” she also said.
