Prime Minister Announces Six More No-Movement Days
Prime Minister Andrew Holness has announced six more no-movement days in a bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus in Jamaica.
He made the announce while speaking at a digital press conference on Wednesday.
The six no-movement days (meaning curfews will span the entire day) are as follows:
Sunday, September 5th
Monday, September 6th
Tuesday, September 7th
Sunday, September 12th
Monday, September 13th, and
Tuesday, September 14th
The normal curfew hours will be 7 pm nightly until 5 am the following morning on Wednesdays – Fridays and 6 pm on Saturdays.
To allow persons to prepare for the three consecutive no-movement days, on Friday, September 3 and Friday, September 10, 2021, workplaces / businesses will be required to close at midday. The list of workplaces / businesses which will NOT have to close at midday remains the same as the last two weeks of no-movement days.
