54 New COVID-19 Cases Recorded Locally

According to the Ministry of Health and Wellness, Jamaica recorded 54 new cases of COVID-19 and no additional deaths on Tuesday.

This increases the tally of COVID-19 cases on record for the island to 10,864.

Meanwhile, recoveries increased by 145 on Tuesday to 6,500.

The overall number of deaths attributed to coronavirus in Jamaica remains at 258.

  

Of the newly confirmed cases, 32 are males and 22 are females, with ages ranging from three to 94 years. The cases were recorded in Westmoreland, (19), St Ann (11), Kingston and St Andrew (eight), St Catherine (six), St James (three), St Elizabeth (three), Hanover (two), Clarendon (one) and St Thomas (one).

There are 17 moderately ill patients and 10 critically ill patients among the 3,957 active cases now under observation in Jamaica.
