76 New COVID-19 Cases Recorded Locally

On Thursday, Jamaica recorded 76 new COVID-19 cases, increasing the island’s overall figure to 10,987.

The new cases are comprised of 41 males and 35 are females, with ages ranging from 1 to 99 years.

St. James recorded the most cases with 17, followed by St. Catherine and St. Ann with 13 each, Kingston and St. Andrew 10, Hanover 8, Trelawny 7, Westmoreland 4, and Clarendon, Portland, St. Elizabeth and St. Thomas 1 each.

A 90-year-old man from St. James, is the most recent person to die from COVID-19, increasing that tally to 260.

  

One death is also under investigation.

76 persons are hospitalised, with 13 patients being moderately ill and 10 being critically ill.

116 more persons have recovered from COVID-19.
