Seven More COVID-19 Deaths Recorded Locally
Seven more COVID-19 related deaths and 95 new cases were recorded across the island on Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Wellness has revealed.
Six of the seven who died- a 43-year-old female; a 45-year-old female; a 30-year-old male; a 73-year-old female; a 62-year-old male and a 68-year-old male – are from Kingston and St Andrew, which leads the nation in COVID-19 infections.
The other COVID-19-related death was that of a 60-year-old male from St Catherine. Three additional deaths are currently be investigated.
The island’s death toll from the coronavirus now stands at 146.
The 95 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases bring the total number of cases on record for the island to 7,813. Recoveries increased by 75, bringing total recoveries to 3,237.
Of the newly confirmed cases, 48 are males and 46 are females, with the sex classification of one person awaiting confirmation; ages range from one to 96 years.
