Reverend Al Miller Escapes Prison Sentence
In July of this year, Reverend Al Miller was convicted for perverting the course of justice after the country’s most wanted man at the time – Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke was found in his vehicle along the Mandela Highway in St. Catherine in 2010.
At the time, Coke was wanted on an extradition warrant however Miller has always maintained that he was carrying Coke to the United States Embassy in St Andrew so he could surrender to authorities there.
Miller was yesterday (September 15) fined $1-million or spend 12 months in prison following an appeal by his attorney for him not to be sent to prison.
The sentence was handed down by Parish Court Judge Simone Wolfe Reese.
‘Dudus’ was being sought by United States law enforcement authorities on drugs and gun charges. After his capture, he was taken to the United States where he was convicted and is presently serving time in prison.
