CONCACAF Confirms Jamaica’s Path to 2026 World Cup
Jamaica’s hopes of reaching the 2026 FIFA World Cup took another step forward with the release of the third-round CONCACAF qualifying schedule.
Placed in Group B, the Reggae Boyz will open their campaign away to Bermuda on September 5, with kick-off set for 5 PM local time.
Four days after that encounter, they’ll return to home soil to take on Trinidad and Tobago on September 9 at 7 PM, in a clash expected to draw major regional attention.
October’s international window will feature two more key fixtures for Jamaica. On October 10, they’ll travel to face Curaçao, before welcoming Bermuda on October 14 for the return leg.
In November, the Reggae Boyz will make a trip to Trinidad and Tobago on the 13th for their final away match. Their last group-stage fixture will be at home against Curaçao on November 18.
Details such as match venues and kick-off times for October and November games are yet to be finalised.
For the sake of competitive integrity, FIFA has mandated that all final round matches on November 18 must begin simultaneously.
Only the winners of each group will secure automatic qualification to the World Cup, where hosts Canada, Mexico, and the United States await.
Meanwhile, the two highest-ranked second-place finishers will progress to the FIFA Intercontinental Playoff scheduled for March 2026.
Six matches now stand between Jamaica and a potential return to the global stage.
