Reggae Boyz Maintain Caribbean Top Spot Despite Global Ranking Dip

Jamaica’s senior men’s football team has moved slightly down in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Rankings, now sitting 63rd.

Although their global standing slipped by one position, the Reggae Boyz continue to lead the Caribbean with 1,386.65 points.

They maintain a comfortable margin ahead of their regional competitors despite the slight setback.

Haiti, now ranked 83rd in the world, rose three spots in the latest update.

  

Meanwhile, Trinidad and Tobago progressed by two places, reaching the 100th position and staying third among Caribbean nations.

In Concacaf, Jamaica remains the sixth-best team based on the updated list.

The United States holds on to top spot in the region, currently ranked 16th worldwide.
Mexico, following a two-place climb, is close behind the Americans at 17th overall.

Canada maintains a strong regional presence, occupying the 30th spot globally.

Panama, surging three spots to 33rd, sits just behind Canada in the regional pecking order.

Costa Rica, which didn’t move in the rankings, completes the top five for Concacaf in 54th.

At the top of the global rankings, Argentina stays at number one following crucial victories against Uruguay and Brazil.

  

Spain has overtaken France for the second position, pushing the French to third in the process.
England and Brazil round out the top five, with both nations holding steady in their positions.

Just outside the top five, the Netherlands have climbed to sixth, swapping places with Portugal, who are now seventh.

Belgium, Italy, and Germany continue to occupy the next three slots, ranking 8th, 9th, and 10th, respectively.

Among African teams, Morocco remains the continent’s highest-placed nation, standing firm in 12th position.
