Reggae Girlz Defeat Peru 2-0 in Friendly

Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz earned a 2-0 victory over Peru in their first of two international friendlies on Sunday, securing their third consecutive win—something they had not achieved since 2022.

Jody Brown opened the scoring in the 5th minute, netting her first international goal since February 2023.

She later assisted Kayla McKenna in the 52nd minute, as McKenna scored for the second straight match, bringing her national team tally to five.

The win marked Jamaica’s first triumph on South American soil since 2018 and their first clean sheet there since 2007.

It also was the first time since 2022 that the team started a calendar year with a victory.

The Reggae Girlz will face Peru again on Wednesday, aiming to extend their winning streak.
