ISSA Reveals All-Manning and All-DaCosta Cup Squads
The ISSA All-DaCosta and All-Manning Cup squads have been unveiled, highlighting outstanding talent from this season’s schoolboy football competitions.
Dominating the All-DaCosta Cup team are players from champions Garvey Maceo, losing finalists McGrath High, and Champions Cup winners Glenmuir High.
Garvey Maceo, boasting a stellar campaign, leads the selections with six players, including goalkeeper Garfield Tomlinson, defenders Tyreek McKeley and Malik Robinson, midfielder Everald Swaby, and forwards Christopher Mundle and Omarion O’Brian.
Glenmuir High, semi-finalists in the competition, also contributed six players: O’neil Headley, Conroy Nicely, Brendon Wallace, Dunstan Cohen, Jason White, and Orane Watson. Losing finalists McGrath High follow with four representatives—Jamari Fowler, Isaac Mason, Devone Davis, and Shane Pusey.
Additional selections include Michael Martin, Kaneil Brown, and Keanu Reid from Ocho Rios High, Deandre Barnett of St Elizabeth Technical (STETHS), Justin Hayles of Clarendon College, and Stevaughn Spence from Frome Technical. Reserves for the squad are Jadon Haynes (Ocho Rios), Anrick Gordon (Central High), and Delano Thompson (Garvey Maceo).
In the Manning Cup selections, five players from champions Kingston College headline the squad, with Malique Williams, Kvist Paul, Dejuan Green, Matrim Martin, and Damaine Smith earning their spots.
St Catherine High, the beaten finalists, are also well-represented with five selections, including Omarion Brown, Romario Walters, Nathel Ellis, Kadean Young, and Dwight Gentles. Other notable inclusions are Alexavier Gooden (STATHS), Robino Gordon and Denzel McKenzie (Mona), Rasheem Green, Garrick Taylor, Ronaldo Barrett, and Keyanni Jackson (Hydel), Javaun Mills, Nashardo Gibbs, and Dyllian John (Jamaica College), Ryan Oneil-Francis (Tivoli Gardens), and Kimarley Scott (Excelsior).
The All-DaCosta and All-Manning Cup teams will clash on January 11 at the National Stadium.
The event will also feature a showdown between the DaCosta Cup All-Scholastic team and their Manning Cup All-Scholastic counterparts.
