Shaw Returns to Reggae Girlz Squad for South Africa Friendlies

Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw has been included in the Reggae Girlz squad for the upcoming friendly internationals against South Africa at the Montego Bay Stadium in Catherine Hall.

This marks the team’s first international home assignment since November 2022. Shaw, who has scored 12 goals this season for Manchester City, returns to the national team after passport issues caused her to miss the recent friendly against France in October.

Also making a return to the squad is Konya Plummer, who was absent from the match against France.

The forwards named by coach Hubert Busby include Kayla McKenna, Davia Richards, Jody Brown, Shania Hayles, Shaniel Buckley, and Tiffany Cameron.

The squad also features goalkeepers Rebecca Spencer and Liya Brooks, along with defenders Allyson Swaby, Konya Plummer, Naya Cardoza, Vyan Sampson, Chantelle Swaby, Deneisha Blackwood, and Siobhan Wilson.

Midfielders in the squad are Atlanta Primus, Destiny Powell, Peyton McNamara, Jade Bailey, Drew Spence, Paige Bailey-Gayle, and Olufolasade Adamolekun.

The first friendly will take place on November 29, with the second and final match also scheduled for Catherine Hall on December 2.
