Met Service Anticipates More Rainfall for Jamaica This Week
The Meteorological Service of Jamaica is forecasting increased rainfall across the island this week, as another area of disturbed weather appears to be developing over the western Caribbean.
According to the Met Service, the system is being closely monitored for potential tropical cyclone formation in the coming days.
Although Jamaica is not expected to be in the direct path of this system, it could bring additional rainfall as the country enters the traditionally wet month of October.
This follows several days of showers and thunderstorms last week, which led to widespread flooding and left many roads inundated.
The downpours also affected farmers, some of whom are still recovering from the impacts of Hurricane Beryl, which passed on July 3.
