Leon Bailey Facing Potential Extended Absence Due to Hamstring Injury
Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey could face an extended period on the sidelines following a hamstring injury sustained recently.
According to injury expert Dr. Rajpal Brar, the Jamaican international could be ruled out for over 10 weeks, with the possibility of surgery being considered.
Dr. Brar, a physical therapist and sports scientist, highlighted that Bailey’s return timeline is still undetermined and will depend on the severity of the injury.
He noted that while the best-case scenario would involve a minor injury, the worst-case outcome could see the 27-year-old out for over 10 weeks if a Grade 4 hamstring rupture is confirmed.
Manager Unai Emery has refrained from providing a specific timeline for Bailey’s return.
Dr. Brar emphasised that Bailey’s playing style, which relies heavily on pace, adds further complexity to his recovery, as it places greater strain on his hamstrings.
