Antonio and Palmer Named in Concacaf Nations League A Best XI for September
Reggae Boyz Michail Antonio and Kasey Palmer have been named in the League A Best XI following the September window of the Concacaf Nations League.
The pair were recognised for their outstanding performances that helped Jamaica secure four points from their first two matches.
Palmer, who was named Player of the Match in Jamaica’s goalless draw with Cuba, was instrumental in midfield.
He completed 92.42 percent of his passes, recorded eight steals, and was a consistent threat in attack.
Antonio, meanwhile, scored Jamaica’s second goal in their 2-1 victory over Honduras, contributing to the team’s positive start in the competition.
The League A Best XI also includes goalkeeper Nicholas Hagen (Guatemala), defenders José Pinto (Guatemala), Juan Pablo Vargas (Costa Rica), and Francisco Calvo (Costa Rica). Palmer joins midfielders David Ruiz (Honduras), Kervin Arriaga (Honduras), and Jordan Leborgne (Guadeloupe), while Antonio is part of a forward line alongside Isaiah Jones (Guyana) and Virgil Misidjan (Suriname).
The Reggae Boyz will be looking to build on their promising start in the upcoming matches of the Nations League.</span
