Trump Escorted Off Stage After Suspected Assassination Attempt at Pennsylvania Rally
Former President Donald Trump was rushed off stage by Secret Service agents during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday after possible shots were heard.
Trump appeared to have blood on his right ear as he was escorted away, seen mouthing the word “fight” and pumping his fist.
A spokesperson for Trump released a statement saying:
“President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility.”
Butler County District Attorney Richard A. Goldinger told American media outlet ABC News that the shooter is dead.
One bystander is confirmed dead, with a possible second bystander also deceased, Goldinger added.
The incident is reportedly being investigated as a possible assassination attempt.
