Exciting Reggae Boy Kaheim Dixon on Verge of Signing with Charlton Athletic

Jamaican football sensation Kaheim Dixon is reportedly on the cusp of signing a contract with English League One club Charlton Athletic.

The South London press has revealed that Charlton is “closing in on a transfer” for the “pacey 19-year-old winger,” who currently plays for Arnett Gardens Football Club in the Jamaica Premier League.

Charlton Athletic, affectionately nicknamed the Addicks, compete in EFL League One, the third tier of the English Football League system. The addition of Dixon is expected to bring a fresh burst of energy and speed to the team’s lineup.

Dixon’s agent, Kevin Cowan, has disclosed that a host of clubs from Belgium, Denmark, Portugal, and the US-based MLS have also expressed keen interest in the talented teenager. However, Charlton appears to be leading the race for his signature.

The former Clarendon College standout will join fellow Jamaican Karoy Anderson at Charlton if the transfer materializes.

Anderson, a product of Charlton’s Academy, made his international debut for Jamaica in 2023.

Dixon’s move would mark the continuation of a strong Jamaican presence at the club, following in the footsteps of notable Jamaican internationals such as Ricardo Fuller, who played for Charlton from 2012-2013, and Michael Hector, who recently departed the club in June.

Dixon made his senior international debut for Jamaica in March, playing in the Concacaf Nations League semi-final against the United States. This season, he has been in stellar form, scoring six goals in 13 appearances for Arnett Gardens in the Jamaica Premier League.

The football community eagerly awaits official confirmation of Dixon’s move, anticipating the impact he will bring to Charlton Athletic as they strive for success in the upcoming season.
