Jamaican Boxer Jerone “Beast” Ennis Dominates in Professional Debut
Jamaican boxing sensation Jerone “Beast” Ennis made a remarkable entrance into the professional circuit at the Pickering Casino Resort on Saturday night.
The two-time Caribbean Amateur Champion delivered a commanding performance, securing a knockout victory over his Argentinian opponent, Marcelo Adrian Fernandez, just 1 minute and 51 seconds into the first round of their scheduled four-round bout in the light-heavyweight division.
Ennis, known for his exceptional skills and promise, wasted no time in asserting his dominance in the ring.
With poise, ring intelligence, and superior technique, he quickly gained control of the fight.
His chief-cornerman, Ryan “RG” Grant, praised Ennis’s performance, noting his strategic approach and sharp defensive instincts.
The pivotal moment of the match occurred when Ennis unleashed a thunderous overhand right, sending Fernandez crashing to the canvas.
Although Fernandez managed to beat the referee’s 10-count, he found himself overwhelmed by Ennis’s relentless assault.
With the referee forced to intervene, Ennis secured a TKO victory at 1:51 of the first round, marking the first time Fernandez had been stopped in the opening round of any fight.
Tyler Buxton, President of United Boxing Promotions, lauded Ennis’s debut performance, underscoring the bright future ahead for the young Jamaican prospect.
