Reggae Girlz Lose to Chile Again in Friendly Series

Last night, Jamaica’s Senior Reggae Girlz faced a setback, suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat against Chile in the second leg of their friendly international at the Estadio Municipal de La Pintana Stadium.

This loss marked the second consecutive defeat for the Reggae Girlz within four days, following a challenging 5-1 defeat in the opening match held at the Juan Pinto Duran Complex over the weekend.

In that match, Chinyelu Asher managed to score the sole goal for the Reggae Girlz.

Following the conclusion of the matches, the local-based members of the Reggae Girlz squad, under the leadership of delegation head Paul Beckford, are scheduled to return to the island this afternoon.

Among those returning are players Shaniel Buckley, Akelia Johnson, and Destiny Powell, alongside head coach Xavier Gilbert and his assistant Germaine Thomas.

The remaining players will be heading back to their respective clubs worldwide.

Also expected to arrive today are the team’s physical trainer Leacroft Lettman, equipment manager Omar Folkes, physiotherapist Ashley Stephens, and team doctor Rushell Brown. Manager Crystal Walters is anticipated to land tomorrow morning.
