In a much-anticipated return to international football, former Portmore United striker Maalique Foster and Tyreek Magee are set to join newcomer Jonathan Bell in the senior Reggae Boyz squad for an upcoming friendly match against Guatemala.

The highly-anticipated international friendly is scheduled to take place at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey on Saturday.

Maalique Foster, who currently represents Colorado Springs Switchbacks in the USL, last donned the Jamaican national team jersey in 2019 during Concacaf Nations League B action when he scored twice in a convincing 6-0 victory over Aruba in Willemstad, Curacao.

Before that, the 24-year-old made headlines by scoring a late equaliser in a thrilling 2-2 draw with South Korea in a friendly contest held in Turkey.

Foster, known for his nippy style of play and remarkable speed up front, is eager to make a lasting impression on Head coach Heimir Hallgrimsson and the team, especially with the Nations League quarterfinals against Canada and a potential appearance in next year’s Copa America on the horizon.

Tyreek Magee, also 24 years old, is another USL player with the Switchbacks, and he is making his return to the Boyz squad after a solitary appearance for the team last year.

Like Foster, Magee is keen to seize this opportunity and contribute to the national side’s success.

Jonathan Bell, a 26-year-old defender born in the United States, currently represents Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit St Louis City. He adds a fresh dimension to the Reggae Boyz squad.

Additionally, Lamonth Rochester and former Jamaica College standout Romain Blake are making their transition from the national youth setups to the senior team.
