Inner Circle’s ‘Sweat’ Achieves Gold Certification in the US!

The popular hit song ‘Sweat (A La La La La Long)’ by Inner Circle has recently achieved Gold certification in the United States.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) officially certified the song as Gold on Friday, July 21, in recognition of reaching the sales and streaming equivalent of 500,000 units sold in the US.

This success adds to the song’s growing list of accolades.

Earlier this year, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) awarded ‘Sweat’ a BRIT Certified Gold award in the UK, celebrating over 400,000 units sold in the British market.

This made it the band’s first song to achieve Gold certification in the UK.

Notably, ‘Sweat’ is now the second song by Inner Circle to be certified Gold in the US, following the success of ‘Bad Boys.’ Both songs showcase the captivating vocals of Calton Coffie, who served as the band’s lead singer from 1986 to 1994.

The widespread appeal of ‘Sweat’ extends beyond the US and UK, as it has also garnered significant recognition in other countries.

The track earned Gold certification in Austria for selling 25,000 units and reached 50,000 units sold in the Netherlands, securing another Gold certification there.

Moreover, in Germany, the song achieved Platinum status for exceeding 500,000 units sold.
