Jamaica Stuns Italy to Reach Quarterfinals in Men’s Lacrosse World Championships!

On Tuesday Jamaica secured their spot in the quarterfinals of the Men’s Lacrosse World Championships with a thrilling 7-6 victory in their first-round playoff match held in San Diego, California.

Despite being seeded 10th, Jamaica pulled off an upset against the seventh-seeded Italians, propelled by an outstanding performance from Khairi Sears, who scored a hat-trick.

Marcus Minichello also contributed with two goals, while goalkeeper Nate McPeak made six saves on 12 shots.

This remarkable win not only advanced Jamaica to the final eight but also marked their best-ever performance in a Men’s World Championship.

  

Impressively, they remain unbeaten in five games.

Jamaica is set to face the formidable second-seeded Canada in the quarterfinal clash today.
