Norse Atlantic Airways, a Norwegian low-cost airline, will soon offer nonstop flights from London Gatwick to Montego Bay and Kingston in Jamaica.
Starting on October 29, the airline will operate four weekly flights from London to Montego Bay, followed by the launch of thrice-weekly London-Kingston flights on October 31.
Jamaica’s Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett, expressed enthusiasm for the new service, citing it as an opportunity to diversify the travel options for the country’s largest European market, the UK.
Bartlett also expressed optimism that Norse’s affordable fares will encourage more UK travelers to visit Jamaica, thereby contributing to the country’s goal of achieving 5 million annual visitors by 2025.
