Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards, a prominent player from Phoenix Academy and Kingston College, has signed a pre-contract with Chelsea Football Club in the English Premier League (EPL), according to an announcement made by Craig Butler, the founder of Phoenix Academy, on his Instagram page.
Richards, who has been with Phoenix Academy since he was 12 years old, is set to make a significant move in his career by joining one of the top football leagues in the world.
Butler expressed his pride in Richards’ loyalty and unwavering faith in the academy, which has culminated in this exciting opportunity for the young player.
Butler also thanked Chelsea Football Club for their partnership with Phoenix Academy and expressed his anticipation for a continued relationship with the club as they prepare Richards for the Premier League.

Richards had recently completed a two-week trial at Newcastle, another EPL club, and had been rumored to sign with them this week. However, he has ultimately decided to sign with Chelsea.
At just 17 years old, Richards had an exceptional performance in the recently concluded schoolboy football season, scoring over 30 goals for Kingston College.
His outstanding performance had fueled speculations of his imminent move to Europe. He has also received his first call-up to the national senior team and is expected to participate in the upcoming friendly internationals against Trinidad and Tobago.
Butler expressed his pride in Richards’ achievements and looked forward to supporting him in his new venture with Chelsea Football Club.
