Reggae Girlz Score Late To Beat Paraguay

Reggae Girlz Score Winner In Stoppage Time

On Thursday Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz earned a narrow 1-0 victory over Paraguay at the Montego Bay Sports Complex in Catherine Hall.

The game was the first of two scheduled international friendlies for the Girlz.

The game’s winner came in stoppage time courtesy of Alysson Swaby who assumed the captain’s arm band after Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw was substituted in minute 63.

Jamaica dominated the game, especially in the first half but failed to capitalise on several good chances.

Following the game, coach Lorne Donaldson said:

“There was not too many things we did well tonight, we should have won this game from the first half but that is how it is.”
