47 New COVID-19 Cases Recorded Locally
Jamaica recorded one additional COVID-19 related death and 47 new cases on Monday, the Ministry of Health and Wellness has revealed.
The most recent person to succumb to COVID-19 is a 36-year-old female from Westmoreland, increasing the death toll from the coronavirus in across the island to 258.
The 47 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases bring increase total number of cases on record for the Jamaica to 10,810.
Recoveries increased by 145, bringing total recoveries to 6,364.
The newly confirmed cases are comprised of 27 females and 20 males, with ages ranging from one to 89 years.
The cases were recorded in Westmoreland (13), St Ann (10), St Catherine (eight), Hanover (four), Kingston and St Andrew (three), St Thomas (three), St James (two), St Elizabeth (two), Manchester (one) and Portland (one).
There are 14 moderately ill patients and nine critically ill patients among the 4,040 active cases now under observation in Jamaica.
