Woman Collapses At Sangster International Airport, Dies
A 62-year-old Jamaican woman collapsed and died after arriving at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St James on Tuesday.
The deceased entered the island via a Delta Airways flight from Atlanta in the United States.
The woman reportedly lost consciousness in the immigration hall at the airport.
Attempts were subsequently made to resuscitate her by health officials but their efforts proved futile.
She was carried to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
There are currently no details regarding a probable cause of death.
Health and Wellness Minister, Dr Christopher Tufton, has since offered condolences to the family of the deceased woman.
