21 Additional Recoveries From COVID-19 Locally
Five new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Jamaica increasing the island’s tally to 586.
The Ministry of Health, via a release, said the five new cases are imported from recently repatriated Jamaicans process in Falmouth, Trelawny on the Carnival Glory and the MS Marina cruise lines. They include one female and four males.
The female is 32 years of age from St. Ann, while the males are from St. Ann, St. Mary and Westmoreland, with ages ranging from 27 to 37 years.
21 additional recoveries have also been recorded bringing that total to 311.
Two COVID-19 patients are currently listed as being critically ill.
Globally, at least 6,288,176 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed with at least 374,321 deaths linked to the disease.
There have been nine COVID-19 related deaths locally.
