Jamaica Imposes Travel Restrictions On The United Kingdom
The Government of Jamaica has imposed travel restrictions on the United Kingdom.
As a result, only Jamaican citizens, their spouses and children, and persons who have residency will be allowed to enter the island.
Upon entry, based on the risk assessment, they will be placed in a quarantine facility or home quarantined.
Anyone intending to travel from or transit the United Kingdom to Jamaica will need to contact their airline or travel agent to check eligibility to fly.
As of March 14, 2020, the UK has 798 cases of coronavirus disease recorded with 11 deaths.
Jamaica has now imposed travel restrictions on a total of 10 countries – the United Kingdom, Japan, China, Italy, South Korea, Singapore, Iran, Spain, France, and Germany.
Persons may contact the Ministry of Health and wellness by calling 888-754-7792 if they develop symptoms.
