PM Makes Million Dollar Donation To Bustamante Hospital for Children
On Monday Prime Minister Andrew Holness made a sizable donation of $1 million to the Bustamante Hospital for Children.
The Prime Minister revealed via a press release that the donation which was made via his Positive Jamaica Foundation, will aid in the purchasing of monitors for which the hospital has a dire need.
The PM’s visit allowed him to get a first hand view of the current situation at the hospital.
Via the release, Holness said:
“It is always difficult when anyone has to be admitted to hospital, but it is especially heartbreaking during the Christmas season which is a time for families to get together.
“For this reason, I make it a custom to visit those who are sick and vulnerable to bring cheer during the Yuletide season,”
Following his visit, Prime Minister Holness stated that the hospital will be getting a purpose-built pharmacy, one that will be more modern, and will help to deliver more efficient services.
