Security Forces Seize Masks, Firearms In Westmoreland

On Sunday the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) announced the seizure of masks, weapons and army fatigue in the parish of Westmoreland.

A statement by the JCF says:

“As members of the security forces in Westmoreland continue their efforts to eliminate crime in the parish, three firearms (one not pictured) with magazines and approximately 37 rounds of ammunition were seized yesterday in seperate operations in Hertford and Little London in Westmoreland between 5 pm and 11:45 p.m.

The operations continued this morning where several masks, ballistic vest and camouflage uniform were seized in Kings Valley, Grange Hill in the parish.

  

Four persons are currently in custody in relation to the seizures. Superintendent Gary McKenzie, Commanding Officer for Westmoreland is once again appealing to residents not to embrace criminals but report them to the Police.”
