Victim In Florida Mass Shooting Reportedly Has Jamaican Roots (Updated)

One of the victims in Wednesday’s fatal mass shooting that claimed 17 lives at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in the US state of Florida reportedly has ties to Jamaica.

She has been identified as 17 year old Helena Ramsay.

A lady who identified herself as a relative of Helena informed The Jamaican Blogs™ that Helena’s grandmother is Jamaican.

Another family member reportedly said via a social media post:

“Helena, we miss you dearly and are so incredibly sorry that your life was cut short. You didn’t deserve this. We love you so much and will miss you greatly.”

The alleged shooter has been identified as 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz – a former student of the school who had been expelled last year for disciplinary reasons.

A total of 30 mass shooting incidents occurred in the United States between January 1 and February 14 of this year.
