Reggae Boy Andre Blake was awarded the highly coveted Golden Glove for his exploits at the recently concluded CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Blake played a pivotal role in helping Jamaica advance to its second consecutive final at the tournament.

He was rightfully named the tournament’s top goalkeeper after allowing just two goals in six games.

Sadly, a hand injury forced him to make an early exit in Jamaica’s 2-1 loss to the U.S. on Wednesday.

He sustained the injury after saving a cracking shot by U.S. men’s national team forward Jozy Altidore.

The 26-year-old is the first Jamaican to receive the Golden Glove at the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
