Jamaica Triumphs in USA Vs. The World Women’s 4x100m At Penn Relays

On Saturday (April 29) Jamaica was victorious in the USA vs. the World Women’s 4x100m event at the the 123rd Penn Relays Carnival at Franklin Field  on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.

Team Jamaica clocked 42.25 seconds to finish in first place, beating two teams from the United States in the process.

The team was comprised of Christania Williams, Kerron Stewart, Gayon Evans and reigning Olympic 100- and 200-meter champion Elaine Thompson.

Jamaica’s Men’s 4x100m team later finished second in the USA vs. the World Men’s 4×100 event.

  

The US men’s team took that event with a time of 38.87, edging Jamaica by 0.14 with Dominican Republic third in 40.32.
