Jamaican model Alicia Burke has been featured on the cover of the Italian issue of Vogue for the month of November.
She is now the first Jamaican or Caribbean model to appear on the cover of the Italian edition of the magazine.
The cover featuring Burke was shot by Steven Meisel and shows her beside male model Hussein Abdulrahman.
Remarkably, her accomplishment comes less than a year after starting her international career – in January 2016.
Vogue is a fashion and lifestyle magazine that is published monthly in 23 different national and regional editions by Condé Nast.
Burke is now the third Jamaican to be featured on a Vogue magazine cover.
Jeneil Williams was featured on the cover of the Turkish edition three years ago and Lois Samuels was featured on German Vogue’s cover over 20 years ago.
