Dudus’ Son Reportedly Shot in Plaza in Tivoli Gardens

On nFriday morning (November 11), a son of incarcerated Tivoli Gardens strongman Christopher “Dudus” Coke was reportedly shot and injured on a plaza in the West Kingston community.

According to accounts from residents in the vicinity, the man was on a plaza in the community when he was reportedly shot in the chest by gunmen.

The incident put a damper on nomination day proceedings in the area. Jamaica Labour Party councillor candidate for the Tivoli division, Donovan Samuels was reportedly marching through the area when the shooting took place. Samuels was said to have been injured in the ensuing melee.

A sister of Coke who goes by the name of “Sandy” was reportedly also injured.

  

As police cordoned off the area, one woman could be heard shouting,  “Dem diss Live Up!”

“Live Up” is the name used to refer to Dudus’ brother, Leighton “Livity” Coke, who residents claimed has tried to foster peace in the area.

Dudus is currently serving a 23 year sentence in a US federal prison after he pleaded guilty to drug trafficking.
