1-Yr-Old Electrocuted in Manchester
A one-year-old boy visiting Jamaica from the United States was electrocuted in Alligator Pond, Manchester on Tuesday.
The deceased, who has been identified as Tyrese McDonald is from a Brooklyn address and was reportedly visiting his father.
According to RJR, there are claims that Tyrese was in the care of his grandfather, who went on an errand and left him with a woman.
Police say he was outside playing with other children when he strayed into a chicken coop which had illegally connected wires attached to prevent mongoose from eating the chickens.
He was reportedly electrocuted after holding onto the mesh wires.
Following the tragic incident, the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) has reportedly carried out an operation to remove other illegal connections in the vicinity.
