Thompson, Fraser-Pryce, Williams Reach Women’s 100m Finals – Rio Games

All three Jamaican athletes have qualified for tonight’s final of the women’s 100m at the Olympic Games currently underway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Jamaica’s ‘Pocket Rocket’ held off the Dutch athlete Dafne Schippers to win her semi-final in a time of 10.88s.

Elaine Thompson equalled her time in comfortable fashion to take her semi-final ahead of the American athlete English Gardner who clocked 10.90s for second place.

Christania Williams finished third in her semi-final with a time of 10.96.
