Bolt Wins Gold in Men’s 100m Final – Rio Games

Jamaica’s Usain Bolt, just moments ago stormed to victory in the men’s 100m final at the Olympic Games currently underway in Rio de Janeiro.

He is now the first man to win gold in the event at three consecutive Olympic Games.

The world’s fastest man clocked 9.81s to earn gold, ahead of the American sprinter Justin Gatlin who crossed the line in 9.89s.

Andre De Grasse of Canada was third in 9.91s.

  

Jamaica’s Yohan Blake narrowly missed earning a medal after finishing fourth in 9.93s.

South Africa’s Akani Simbine was 5th in 9.94s while Ben Youssef Meïté of  Côte d’Ivoire was 6th in 9.96s.

France’s Jimmy Vicaut was 7th with 10.04s while Tryvon Bromell of the United States finished last in 10.66s.
