Jamaica Ranked 83rd in Global IT Ranking
Jamaica is ranked at number 83 on the 2016 Global Information Technology Report.
The report features the Networked Readiness Index, which assesses the factors, policies and institutions that enable a country to fully leverage information and communication technologies (ICTs) for increased competitiveness and well-being.
The report also examines the role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in driving innovation.
This year’s ranking sees Jamaica fall one place from last year’s rank of 82.
The top 10 countries harnessing information technology based on the Network Readiness Index 2016 are:
Singapore (1), Finland (2), Sweden (3), Norway (4), United States (5), Netherlands (6), Switzerland (7), United Kingdom (8), Luxembourg (9), Japan (10).
