Bolt Among Highest Paid Celebrities Globally – Forbes

Usain Bolt has been named in a ranking of the top 100 highest paid celebrities globally for 2016 by Forbes.

With estimated earnings of US $32.5 million, Bolt sits at number 91 on the list. (June 2015 – June 2016)

The six-time Olympic gold medallist is also the 32nd highest paid athlete on Forbes magazine’s Global Celebrity 100 which also comprises actors, comedians, musicians, models and personalities from around the world.

Topping the list is the American singer and songwriter Taylow Swift with earnings of US$ 170 million.

  

The highest paid athlete is Portugal star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo (4th) with earnings of US $88 million.

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi (8th) is the second highest paid athlete with earnings of US $81.5 million.

The top 5 athletes are rounded off by LeBron James (11th)  with earnings of $77 million, Roger Federer (16th) with earnings of $68 million and Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic who shares the 26th spot with Kevin Durant after both earned an estimated $56 million.

Bolt is currently recuperating from a hamstring injury that forced him to withdraw from the national Olympic trials.

The world record holder will be aiming to successfully defend his 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay titles at the upcoming Olympic games in Rio later this year.
