PM Promises to Release Financial, Health Records Within a Month

During a recent interview with RJR’s Dionne Jackson Miller on Beyond the Headlines, Prime Minister Andrew Holness stated that his financial and health records will be made available to the public within a month.

In the latter stage of his election campaign, Prime Minister Andrew Holness promised to make his health and financial records public.

Since his election as Prime Minister on March 3, there have been widespread discussions regarding his promise.

During his interview with Dionne Jackson Miller, the Prime Minister acknowledged missing the March 31 deadline for filing his financial report with the Integrity Commission, due, he said, to a strenuous workload since becoming prime minister.

He also stated that another challenge in making his records public was to have a more detailed discussion with his other colleagues in government about the matter, because, according to him, it has implications for them as well.

Though the Prime Minister did not give an exact date for the release of the records, he did state:

“I’m going to do it as soon as possible… I would say, within two weeks.”
