Puma Signs Jamaican Speedster Nigel Ellis

Sportswear giant Puma has signed yet another promising Jamaican athlete.

18-year-old Nigel Ellis of St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) has already registered some impressive times over 100 and 200m distances.

His personal bests under the guidance of coach Reynaldo Walcott at STETHS are 10.16 seconds in the 100 metres and 20.40 seconds in the 200 metres.

Ellis was victorious in the sprint double at the ISSA ISSA Boys and Girls’ Championships at the National Stadium earlier this year and is currently the Carifta Games Under-20 champion.

  

Puma has signed a number of gifted Jamaican athletes in the past including: Usain Bolt, Natasha Morrison,  Asafa Powell, Jaheel Hyde, Hansle Parchment and Kaliese Spencer.

Ellis is is presently the fastest 100m junior athlete in the world.
