Morgan Heritage Wins Grammy For Best Reggae Album

After 20 years in the music business, Reggae group Morgan heritage has won their first Grammy for Best Reggae Album.

Their album titled ‘Strictly Roots’ was released in April 2015 and features several prominent reggae artistes such as Chronixx, Shaggy, Jo Mersa Marley among others.

Thank you to all our Fans and Team that played a part of Strictly Roots Album! WE WON…YES RASTA!  – tweeted the popular reggae band after earning the prestigious award.

Morgan Heritage was formed in 1994 by by five children of reggae artist Denroy Morgan, namely Peter “Peetah” Morgan, Una Morgan, Roy “Gramps” Morgan, Nakhamyah “Lukes” Morgan and Memmalatel “Mr. Mojo” Morgan.

  

In the space of two decades, the band has produced a number of successful reggae albums.
