Jamaica to take on Costa Rica at Home in Semi-final round of World Cup Qualifying
Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz did just enough to reach the semi-final stage in the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers and will take on Costa Rica at home on Good Friday, March 25.
The match will get underway at 7 pm inside the National Stadium.
This will be the third game in the semi-final round of qualifiers for the Reggae Boyz and the first of back to back encounters against the Costa Ricans.
The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) tried to have the match date changed as Good Friday is considered sacred by many Jamaicans.
However FIFA stated a change of date was not possible as the 2016 international match calendar had been approved since 2013.
Match fees will be as followed: ‘Bleachers’ will have to pay $1,200, grandstand category two will cost $5500 and grandstand ….one …$6,500
Jamaica currently sits in third in group “B” of the qualifiers with 3 points, ………..Costa Rica leads the group with 6 points followed by Panama on three and Haiti without a point.
