Only 36 Percent of Jamaicans Favour Prime Minister According to Recent Poll

A recent poll has shown that Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller’s favorability rating has reached an all time low.

According to the poll conducted by Bill Johnson and commissioned by the Gleanera meagre 36 percent of Jamaicans have a favourable opinion of the Prime Minister compared to her all-time high of 78 per cent which was recorded in 2006.

The poll by Bill Johnson was conducted between September 25-27 among 1,200 Jamaicans and has a sampling error of +3% or -3%.

The number of persons who have an unfavourable view of the Prime Minister has also nearly quintupled.

In March of 2006, a meagre, 11 per cent of Jamaicans had an unfavourable opinion of Simpson Miller. That figure has now swelled to 51 per cent.
