Online Fund Set Up to Return Ricardo Clarke’s Body to Jamaica
30-year-old Ricardo Clarke died tragically in a motor vehicle accident in the US state of Georgia last Friday (Sept 4).
Now a GoFundMe account has been created with the aim of amassing the necessary funds to transport his body to Jamaica.
The fund was set up by Andrew Adcock, who described Ricardo as kind and generous, respectful and polite, and a gentle soul.
The following was posted on the online fund:
Ricky came to this country after being offered a full athletic scholarship.
He went to school here, worked here, and made lasting impressions here on all of those whose paths he crossed. He loved our country, but Jamaica would always be his birthplace.
His parents still live in Jamaica, and it is their desire to bring Ricardo home. We are raising money to help with expenses involved in flying Ricardo’s body back to his homeland where he can be laid to rest.
Any amount given will be greatly appreciated and 100% of the amount of funds received will go to his father.
