Give ISIS Reggae, Jamaican Marijuana and Wars Will End Says Shaggy

Popular reggae and dancehall entertainer Orville Burrell, more popularly known as Shaggy recently made some unanticipated comments regarding reggae music, weed and their ability to bring peace to the Middle East.

While speaking with the Miami New Times, Shaggy said:

“If you’re able to cut a man’s head off, you’re sick. But right, music evokes emotion. So if they’re listening to Shaggy music or reggae music, they’re not going to want to cut somebody’s head off.”

“There’re two things you want to do when you listen to reggae: You get somebody pregnant, or you’re …… high. High people don’t want to kill nothing; they want to love. They need to bag some Jamaican weed and distribute it amongst ISIS. I guarantee there won’t be any more wars out there.”

Shaggy made the comment during a promotional interview with the Miami New Times for his profanity-heavy title of his new single GFY.

Prior to doing music, Shaggy ‘s military background included him being enlisted in the US Marine Corps and worked as a field artillery cannon crewman. He also served in the Gulf War.

The armies of ISIS still remain a violent threat in Syria, Iraq and surrounding areas.
